Bloom’s Taxonomy, introduced more than half a century ago, opened up an important dimension for teaching to make it more productive and purposeful by classifying thinking into six kevels – from remembering to creating. The main purpose of this session is to create awareness among the participants of the importance of using higher order thinking skills in their own teaching, thus fostering the development of these skills in their learners. After the initial introductory phase, the session then gives the participants opportunities – both minds on and hands on – to apply Bloom’s Taxonomy in their lesson planning and classroom teaching.
