Time Management and Stress Management

 Date: Sep 22, 2016 Time | 2:30 pm to 05:00 pm

With the constant increase in competition and new emerging technologies, it has now become important for an individual to keep oneself up to date. And with this hectic lifestyle it often becomes difficult to manage time which then leads to procrastination. Thus to simplify the life and move easily with the pace it becomes important to manage time and stress.

Therefore keeping all these issues in mind we have designed this 3 hour workshop in such a way that it will enable you to efficiently manage your time and maintain balance. Workshop would cater limited audience in order to pay maximum attention on attendees and promote interactive learning.

Bloom’s Taxonomy

Bloom’s Taxonomy, introduced more than half a century ago, opened up an important dimension for teaching  to make it  more productive and purposeful by classifying thinking into six kevels – from remembering to creating.  The main purpose of this session is to create awareness among the participants of the importance of using higher order thinking skills in their own teaching, thus fostering the development of these skills in their learners.   After the initial introductory phase, the session then gives the participants opportunities – both minds on and hands on – to apply Bloom’s Taxonomy in their lesson planning and classroom teaching.

Critical Thinking Skills

This topic, closely linked with Bloom’s Taxonomy, is designed to develop both the habits and skills of critical thinking in the participants. Apart from its pedagogical value, the session aims also at using critical thinking for creating attitudes supporting real life problem-solving, cultural pluralism, dealing with diversity of views and lifestyles, handling propaganda, and exploitation by those with commercial interests.  The session involves participants in some apparently simple but meaningful exercises on critical thinking.

Multiple Intelligence

After a  nearly century long domination of the IQ model of evaluating human intelligence, Multiple Intelligence (MI) theory of Howard Gardner appeared in last quarter of the 20th century and ever since has made a tremendous impact not only on  education theory,  but also on practical  aspects of  teaching and learning.    Supported by extensive research, and made popular by its commonsensical wisdom, it continues to enjoy widespread acceptance among teachers and educationists.

The workshop on MI will introduce the participants to the concept and its components, and then involve them in some mind on and hands on activities to get a fair grasp of the topic as teachers.  The session can be useful for heads, principals, and parents.

Conflict Resolution

Workplace is always a difficult place to survive. There you have seniors and subordinates, with whom you may have difference of opinion. They small differences in viewing things from different perspective give rise to various conflicts.  And unfortunately a time came when these conflicts become bigger than they are supposed to be. Therefore, there is a need of training that enables participants to tackle these situations with utmost novel and care and provide them with a sense of negotiation, where both the parties and individuals are at winning side.

In this workshop participants will learn various techniques to manage and resolve conflict. The participants will also learn the four key conflict resolution skills i.e. relieving stress, recognizing & managing emotions, using effecting nonverbal communication and using humor to deal with challenges.
